1. Determine which permit you need online
You can determine the right permit for you online using our free permit configurator.
2. Order permit documents online
After you have determined the right permit in our permit configurator, you can order all documents that you require for applying for the permit online, ready for signature.
3. Telephone advice from our legal experts in your language
After conclusion of the online order, a legal expert from the Swiss-Permits.ch team will call you during a working day and discuss your situation and required residence permit with you. The legal expert will also discuss Swiss health insurance, which you generally require in order to apply for the residence permit, with you. Swiss-Permits.ch works with Sanitas, a major Swiss health insurer, and can therefore offer attractive insurance packages.
4. Signature of the health insurance application
Insofar as our legal experts are also taking care of your Swiss health insurance (at no additional cost to you), you will receive an e-mail with the health insurance application, compiled according to your wishes. You need to sign and return this application to us (by e-mail or post).
5. Receipt of the signature-ready documents
In the next step, you will receive from us all signature-ready documents that you require for the residence permit. Insofar as our legal experts have also taken care of your health insurance, you will also receive the health insurance policy. You simply need to sign the documents in the marked places.
6. Submission of the documents to the citizens’ registration office
You need to submit the signed documents, as well as the health insurance policy, to the responsible citizens’ registration office. Along with the documents, we will send you a leaflet showing the office that is responsible for you (incl. opening hours and any possible special features).
